Codos de Larouco

Pazo de Toubes — Codos de Larouco (Godello)

Pazo de Toubes is a little wine cellar located in a traditional palace built in 1742 in Ourense, Galicia (Spain). They make author wines from the finest vineyard sites and terroir, using autochthonous galician grape varieties.

Codos de Larouco is a godello (Valdeorras Appelation of Origin) inspired by the winding roads that cross the surroundings of its vineyards. Routes that remain, almost exactly, the traces that the Romans built 2,000 years ago between the province of León and Portugal. The "elbows" arose from the need to overcome the steep slopes caused by the rivers of the area. Today these routes have become an unusual and beautiful landscape.
